There are lots of other activities for any non skiers or famillies who would like alternative fun things to do here.

Why not hire a pair of snow shoes and see the quieter side to the mountains on a guided tour….it’s so peaceful off the beaten track and the local guides know the best trails. Get yourselves sledges/bum boards for the children and the big kids amongst you to use – there are many good spots for this with cafe’s at the bottom for hot chocolate stops. There are 2 icerinks in town – a small outdoor playrink for the kids next to the tourist office and a large indoor rink at the local sports centre.

We have some beautiful walks in and around town – along the river, under a canopy of trees, is really special in winter and for those with kids there is a playground along this walk too.

For the more adventurous guests we can arrange a parapente for you. You will enjoy the amazing views as you cruise around the skies in tandem with fully qualified instructors.

For those who would like to push themselves a little you can hire randonee ski’s and boots and tour up the mountain and really earn your ski down!

New to Morzine a few winters ago is a fantastic indoor swimming pool – it has an adult, kids and baby pool along with a steam and sauna option. If you fancy some warmth after a morning skiing in Avoriaz then you can head to AQUARIAZ – an aquatic paradise in the mountains featuring lush vegetation and rocks, a river with variable gentle current, a slidewinder (a kind of aquatic halfpipe), a water playhouse, a paddling pool, a large pool with climbing walls, massage benches and the must: an open-air spa heated to 34°C!
